Saying it With Flowers. Before the commencement of the meeting of the Palmerston North Townswomen’s Guild yesterday opportunity was taken by Mrs. E. W. Drake, one of the hostesses, to convey congratulations to the president, Mrs. A. E. Mansford, on the re-election of her husband and herself as Ma}’-or and Mayoress of tho city and on behalf of the members to ask her acceptance of a bouquet of pink carnations. Returning thanks for such a trouching tribute Mrs. Mansford said she hoped that at the end of this new term it would be found that the Mayor had served the city as in the past. His one idea was to do his best for Palmerston North and hers to support him.
