Conscription Mooted For Northern Ireland

(British Official Wireless.) Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. RUGBY, May 24. The Prime Minister of Northern Ireland arrived in Britain to-day and is expected to visit Mr. Churchill to confer on the extension of conscription to Northern Iroland. A Dublin messago sas it is officially stated that the Cabinet leaders and the Opposition met to consider the situation regarding the application of conscription to the six counties (Ulster). Mr. De Valera has summoned the Dail on Monday to receive a statement on a matter of urgent public importance. The Irish Times says: “We realise that the British Government has a strong case but we considered the enforcement of conscription would be a grave mistake.
