Vichy Tankers Seized in the Atlantic

LONDON, May 22. According to a Vichy report given out by Rome, two French oil tankers have been intercepted by British naval units in the Atlantic. It was previously reported in London that one French tanker had been taken in charge. Britisli naval patrols "picked up" the tanker «Scheherezade in the Atlantic. The French vessel was carrying a cargo of oil from a United States port to Casablanca. The British authorites granted the Scheherezade a navicert some time ago, but, because of the recent developments in Vichy’s attitudo, decided to take action.
