CLEARING SALE AT FITZHERBERT WEST Dalgetv and Company, Ltd., report having held a highly successful clearing sale on Monday last, May 19, on account of Mr. J. L. W. McLean, who had sold his property. There was a large attendance of local buyers who operated on the dairy herd which hnd'been under test this sea ! son, and comprised mainly second and third culvers, the majority calving in ' August. The cows came forward in excellent order and condition, the best ’ sorts selling from £ll to £ls, the herd ’ averaging £ll 5s (id and the dairy . heifers r.w.b. £7 ss. Three pens of [ lambs sold from 8s to 13s lOd. ; Horses and implements met with a . ready sale at prices fully on a par with . recent sales. A special entry of nine f well-bred Jersey heifers r.w.b. oifered $ on account of Mr. A. A.
