(British Official Wireless) (Rqc. 14, 2.45) RUGBY, May 13. An Air Ministry and Ministry of Home communique states: “During today, there has been very slight enemy air activity in the coastal areas, mainly in the south-west. There are no reports of bombs being dropped. One enemy aircraft was shot down into the sea by our fighters. “It is now known that another enemy aircraft was destroyed in daylight on Thursday, May 8, making a total of 15 destroyed that day. The extra one was shot down by the ground defences at a searchlight station. “The destruction of three more enemy aircraft during the night of May 11-12 has now been confirmed. This makes a total of 22 enemy bombers destroyed that night.” Enemy activity over Britain last night was on a very small scale. A few bombs were dropped on places in South-West England, East Anglia, and elsewhere. Little damage was done, and the total number of casualties was small.
