Australia Appoints Envoy to China
CANBERRA, Alay 13. The Commonwealth Government has decided to appoint an Australian Alinister to China. Tho Minister of External Affairs, Sir Frederck Stewart, in anj nouncing thiijl to-night, said that the : Government's decision was a further recognition of the fact that Australia possessed vital interests and had in- ' creasing responsibilities In the Pacific. Sir Frederick added that Chungking had welcomed the Commonwealth's .docision.
