Manawatu Women’s Co-operative Guild

The Manawatu Co-operative Women’s Guild held a meeting in the Y.W.C.A. room, George Street, on the afternoon of May 13. There was a very good attendance of members and the president, Mrs. Robertson, extended a hearty welcome to all present and a special welcome to Miss Kawstron after her absence of some time owing to illness and all hoped that she was now quite recovered. A demonstration of icing and decorating a cake was given by Mr. Allan, which was very interesting and instructive. A vote of thanks fo Mr. Allan was passed. Ladies of the guild are to be helpers at the A.N.A. Club this coming week-end, May 16, 17 and 18. The management of the Co-opera-tive Society combined with the Ladies’ Guild will be giving a social evening to all Co-operative members past and present in the near future.
