National Savings Flag Competition
WELLINGTON, May 13. On the latest fortnightly returns in connection with the National Savings flag competition Hokitika replaces Rossi as the leading town in the Grevmouth district, while Thames achieves a similar lead over AVhakaitane, the former leading town in tho Thames district. In tho other postal districts the positions remain unchanged. The distinction of flying one of the special National Savings Hugs goes to tho leading town in each of tho IS postal iu the Dominion determined at. fortnightly intervals in accordance with the percentage of national savings depositors to population. The loading towns for each district are now as follow: Auckland district, Ruawai; Blenheim district, Sed4ou; Christchurch district, Waiau; Dunedin District, Owaka; Gisborne district, Te Araroa; Greymouth district, Hokitika; Hamilton district, Rotorua; Invercargill district, Edendale; Napier district, t’orangahau; Nelson district, Alurchison; New Plymouth district, Stratford; Oamaru district, Kurow; Palmerston North district, Pongaroa; Thames district, Thames; Timaru district, Geraldine; Wanganui district, Waitotara; Wellington district, Featherston; Westport district, Westport.
