There was a fair attendance of members at tho Alay meeting of the Konini Women’s Institute. Airs. Sargisson was in the chair and the meeting opened in the usual way. The thought for the month was: “Strong in Faith, we Face To-morrow.” Alembers stood in silence as a mark of respect for Air. 11. Reeve. Three new members were welcomed by the president. Airs. Hirst gave a very interesting report on the council meeting held at Pahiatua. -A very busy afternoon was spent by all in the making of old linen into handkerchiefs, coverlets and hussiffs. Wool was also distributed amongst members. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesses, Alesdames Barnes and Connor. The meeting closed in the usual way.
