Riots Throughout Rumania
BALKAN COUNTRIES UNDER TYRANT’S HEEL Received Tuesday, 7.50 p.m. GENEVA, May 13. General Antonescu has threatened to close the universities throughout Rumania unless students denounce'antiGerman agitators among them. Students singing patriotic songs on Saturday interrupted the Rumanian National Day celebrations. Riots throughout Rumania following the introduction of two breadless days weekly induced the Rumanian Government to cancel the decree. The food situation in Greece is alarming. German efforts to rally tre anti-Metaxas pro-German Party have been unsuccessful. There have been numerous arrests in Budapest restaurants for spreading or listening to rumours.
