Last Warning for Food Cheats
Received Thursday, 8.10 p.m. LONDON, May 7. Lord Wool ton (Minister of Food) in a speech warned food gamblers that ho was on their tails and intended to get to closer quarters with the five per cent, of the population which were not doing their best to observe the regulations and were thinking thomselves bright and clever. He had received thousands of letters about these cheats. He wished the women of Britain to band together and refuse to deal with them. The women could not expect the Government to do everything and must work through churches and other organisations. “I am watching these people. This is their final warning,” ho said.
