Carpenters Repudiate Anti-war Resolution
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 8. By 232 votes to 96 a special meeting of the Wellington. Carpenters’ and Joiners’ Union to-night dissociated itself with the anti-war resolution carried at a meeting of the union at which there was an attendance of ten members. By 153 votes to 96, the meeting agreed to remove from office those responsible for the resolution. [An earlier message referring to the above will be found on page B.J
