Speaking before the Naval Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives to-day on the Bill to empower President Roosevelt to requisition idlg foreign ships in American harbours, the chairman, Mr. Carl Vinson, said he favoured convoying American arms shipments to Britain now. Representative Cox said: “Of course we are going to convoy, and convoy right away. We have voted billions in credit for Britain and promised to support her to the limit of our capacity.”
