Manchester Street School

At the monthly meeting of the committee of the Manchester Street School, Feilding, presided over by Mr. Z. McLeod (chairman), the Wanganui Education Board wrote asking for further particulars concerning the committee’s application for an extension of the playing area, the provision of a cycle shed and the asphalting of paths . It was agreed to supply the required data. The headmaster, Mr. F. J. Gaze, reported that the attendance was almost back to normal. Seven intermediate and 15 elementary life-saving awards had*been secured by pupils. Each child was receiving two apples per day from the supply of 15 cases a week received at the school.
