National Savings Progress

ONE FIRM HAS HUNDRED PER CENT. MEMBERSHIP At a meeting of the Palmerston North National Savings Committee the organiser, Mr. E. E. Nansett, reported that there were now 110 groups operating in the city representing 2300 regular subscribers, while at offices in the district 80 groups had been formed covering 900 contributors. The number of depositors (individual and group) in the district had reached 8000. The chairman, Mr. M. A. Eliott, expressed pleasure at the progress made and considered that now the Hcart-to-Heart Appeal had finished, greater support for the National Savings scheme would be forthcoming. He congratulated Mr. K. A. Henderson on the action of the staff of Barraud and Abraham, Ltd., having formed a group with 100 per cent, membership.
