A Correction
(To the Editor.) Sir, —My attention has been drawn to your leading article (19/4/41) in which it is stated that at the recent annual conference of the Labour Party a vote was taken on the question of withdrawal from the war and that 11 per cent, of the votes were cast in support of that motion. This is entirely incorrect as no such voto was taken at the conference, neither was there any suggestion that we should withdraw from the war. On the contrary a unanimous resolution was passed endorsing all the measures taken by the Government in the use of the country’s resources of manpower and wealth to bring tho war to a successful conclusion, and the delegates assembled expressed their determination to do all possible to assist tho Government and our Ivinsfoik overseas in the strugglo against the menace of Hitlerism. —I am, etc., M. MOOHAN, National Secretary.
