Air Force Casualties
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Apil SO. The following Air Force casualties are officially announced:— SERGEANT JAMES HANLEY HAMILL, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations; father, Mr. P. IlaraiH, Masterton.
Sergeant Hamill was born at Masterton in 1916 and educated at the Wairarapa High School and St. Patrick’s College, Silverstream. He qualified for an “A” licence in December, 1938, a* & member of the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club and was accepted for war service early in 1940. PILOT-OFFICER GILBERT LEWIS REDSTONE, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations; mother, Mrs. A. Redstone, 19 Hospital Road, Gisborne. Pilot-Officer Redstone was born at Gisborne in 3916 and educated at tha Gisborne High School. SERGEANT JAMES CLARK, R.X.Z# A.F., missing on air operations; mother, Mrs. N. Clark, 40 Ocean View Road, Milford. Sergeant Clark was born in Scotland in 1920 and educated at the Gisborne Central School. SERGEANT ALLAN HUGH FRASER, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations; wife, Mrs. A. M. Fraser, Nursing Staff, Hospital, Napier. Sergeant Fraser was born at Wellington in 1911 and educated at the Pahiatua District High School. SERGEANT REGINALD LEE ROBINSON, R.N.Z.A.F., killed in air raid; father, Mr. H. F. Robinson, 16 Rotherham Street, Riccarton. Sergeant Robinson was born at Christchurch in 19.16 and educated at the Christchurch Technical School. SERGEANT MALCOLM BRUCE CROOKS. Missing on air operations. His mother is Mrs. E. Bell, of Wellington.
Sergeant Crooks w as born at Wellington in 1916, and at Wellington College. SERGEANT FREDERICK GEORGE HINDRUP, R.N.Z.A.F. Missing on air operations. His mother is Mrs. H. C. Eyles, of Napier. Sergeant Hindrup was born at Dunnevirke iu 1917, aud educated at the Westport Technical High School. LEADING AIRCRAFTMAN HORACE DEAN SIMONSON, R.N.Z.A.F. Killed during an enemy air raid. His father is Mr. N. R. Simonson, of Rai Valley. Leading Aircraftman Simonson was born at Havelock in 3909, and educated at Marlborough. He was a member of the R.N.Z. Territorial Air Force in 1938. N.Z.E.F. CASUALTIES Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 30. The following members of the N.Z.E.F. are reported wounded:— LANCE CORPORAL DOUGLAS HEWISH BERGIN. His father is Mr. J. Bergiu, of Temuka. PRIVATE CYRIL JOHN HARNISH. His mother is Mrs. E. P. Harnish, ot Auckland. PRIVATE DOUGLAS JAMES MEEft His father is Mr. C. Meek, of St rat* ford. GUNNER BASIL CLIVE MILNER. His father is Mr. C. Milner, of England. SERGEANT THOMAS SPITTAL. His mother is Mrs. E. Spinal, of Dublin.
