INCREASES IN ALL CLASSES OF STOCK SLAUGHTERED Increases in all classes of stock slaughtered were recorded by the city abattoir manager (Mr. A. M. Spilman) in his report for the year •ended March 31 last, which was tabled nt last night’s meeting of the Palmerston North City Council. Particulars of stock slaughtered were aS follows, tlio figures in parentheses being those for the previous year:— Cattle, 6140 (5520); calves, 765 (571); sheep, 23,519 (23,147); lambs, 2343 (2198): pigs, 4109 (2G34); totals, 36,885 (34,070.)
