Received Sunday, 6.30 p.m. LONDON, April 26. The first woman to win the new British Empire medal is 26-year-old Rosalie Gassman, of Hornsey, who is a secretary in the daytime and a parttime A.F.S. telephonist at night. A bomb struck an A.F.S. station, but she carried on telephoning under the debris, also rendering first aid to those who were injured.
