(From Our Own Correspondent.) There was a fair attendance at tho first drama club meeting for the year. ' Plays were read and one was cast, which will bo produced in the near future. Supper was provided by Mrs. Oxenham. There was a good attendance at the arts and crafts meeting held on Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. R. Meyer. Members were taught marquetring on wooden brooches. Supper was served by Mrs. Meyer and Miss L. Olsen. School Committee The school committee met last week wdien Mr. E. Houaghau presided over a full attendance. The septic tank system is now completed. The pump has been connected and the system put fully into operation. The appies in school scheme has commenced and each child receives one applo a clay. It was decided to secure some three-ply and fret-saw blades for use by the boys during handwork period. It was also decided to purchase timber to Meet a cupboard in which to keep the tools. Several hundred bricks remain over from the old dismantled chimney and it was decided to have an incinerator built. It was also decided to give tho headmaster authority to purchase a now football and a new basketball when required. Correspondence was received from the board regarding application for a subsidy on money raised for a paddling pool. Since the application was made new Government regulations have been issued which will make the cost much higher. It was decided to write and cx|plain that tho application was in from this school before these regulations were gazetted. Euchre. There was a good attendance at. tho fotrnightly euchre, tiie winners of the games being as follows: Ladies, Mrs. Clinton 1. Mrs. Hastings 2, Mrs. Atkinson consolation; men, Mr. Morgan 1, Mr. Clinton and Mr. Stevens equal 2, Mr. Scott consolation.
