Ten Million Chinese Are Facing Famine

HONGKONG, April 22. Tep. million Chinese are threatened with famine in Eastern and Northern Kwantung Province as a result of the Japanese occupation and the recently intensified naval blockade of the Kwantung coast. American Red Cross relief shipments of 500 tons of wheat per month are far from meeting the requirements, and are encountering difficulty in reaching the affected areas.
