223 Candidates for 90 Seats

Received Midnight. SYDNEY, April 22. A total of 223 candidates have been nominated for 90 seats in the coming New South Wales Assembly election. Four are women. Seven retiring members are unopposed, but all the party leaders have opposition, including the Premier (Mr. Mair). Some official Labour candidates are being opposed by nominees ot' the small rival Labour group led by Messrs. Hughes and Evans, who arc reported to represent the radical element at Trades Hall.
