Thq fairwajs wiiicn have been mown are in excellent order, also the gieens which were cut by a few memoe.s of the club. Following afternoon tea the ladies neld their annual meeting. The election of officers resulted as follows:—(Secretary and treasurer, Airs. YY’itner; captain, Airs. N. H. (Short; vice-captain, Mrs. D. Old; committee, Alesdames Cuipe, (Stewart, .and AicCombie; tea supervisor, Aliss jCoggin. Aliss (Short ino»ed a vote of thanks to the retiring captain, Mrs. j Old. A resolution was also passed by the meeting acknowledging with thanks ;the efficient services oj. Mrs. Wither as 1 secretary, it was decided to play a Jiiag competition next (Saturday and the ■following is the draw:—Airs. Wither and Mrs. (Stewart; Airs. (Stephens and Mrs. Lethludge; Airs. Short and Mrs. AicCombie; Airs. Corpe and Mrs. Old; Aliss J. Stewart and Aliss Coggin; Miss R. Stewart and Aliss Williamson; Aliss N. Old and partner. Personal Air. and Airs. S. C. Sandbrook, of Woodville, have been spending tho week-end with Mr. and Airs. C. Fames. Air. A. J. Palmer, of Rota-Manu, is the guest of Mr. and Airs. Old.
