Tokomaru
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Queen Carnival A large number of residents and Visitors gathered on Saturday night for the final result in the contest between the Northern and Southern Queens. The evening was enjoyed in dancing and competitions, Mr. W. Bond being M.C. Shortly before midnight, Mr. Bond announced the result, the Southern Queen (Miss G. Guy) being the winner. Remarking on the interest taken in the contest, Mr. Bond said there was only n few pounds difference between the two queens. Mr. R. W. Guy, chairman of the local Patriotic Committee, expressed his appreciation of the wonderful effort that had been made in practically reaching Tokomaru's quota in the Heart to Heart Appeal .
