“Toughest Soldier”
LONDON, Jan. S. The Daily Express asks: “What makes the Australian the toughest soldier in the world?" “ He is not fond of taking orders, but once ho has taken an order, he regards that order as his own. He becomes liis own general and soldier, too, and sticks at nothing until the cider is carried out. “How about some of that spirit among our workers?" tho newspaper concludes. The Times, in a loading article recalls tlio Australian’s superiority over the Germans in night patrolling in the last war, and adds: “It is now' evident that their sons have inherited the skill and daring of their fathers."
