(From Our Own Correspondent.) Personal and General Alany families have had guests for the Christmas and New Year holidays and beach trips have been popular. Air. and Mrs. Bert Wainscott and family, of Pet one, have been the guests of Airs. L. E. Hansen. ALr. and Airs. D. Thomas, Palmerston North, spent Christmas with Air. and Airs. W. E. Thomas, Allison’s Line. Air. Keith Thomas has spent a fortnight’s holiday with his parents, Air. and Airs. W. E. Thomas. Mrs. E. H. Havthorue and her daugh ter Pamela, who have been staying at Holiday House, Foxton beach, have re turned home. Mrs. H. M. Whisker accompanied Air. and Airs. L. Hibbard on a camping holiday at a Hawke’s Bay beach. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Burnham and their daughter Yvonne, of Hastings, spent Christmas with Mr. and Airs. B. Burnham, Cameron’s Line. Air. Wilfred Burnham, R.N.Z.A.F., Weraroa, has been the guest of his uncle and aunt, Air. and Airs. B. Burnham. Airs. C. 13. Avery and family and Aliss Ruth Pedersen are staying at Waitarere beach. Mr. F. St. C. Lewer a,ud Mr. J. llodgcs, of Wellington, have been staying with Air. aud Mrs. D. Letver. Privates E. H. H&ythorne, A. Thomas and R. Merritt were local men selected for the Second Division of the 4th Reinforcements. Air. and Airs. J. Arnold, Hamilton, have been staying with their daughter, Airs. W. Tantrum, Cameron's Line. Air. and Airs. D. Salter and family, of Pahiatua, are spending the school vacation with Airs. Salter’s parents, Air. and Airs. J. H. Bennett.
