U.S. Tanker Torpedoed Without Warning
Received Friday, 7.30 p.m. SIERRA LEONE, Jan. 2. Catpain Blomquist from the tanker Charles Pratt, which was sunk last week in the Atlantic, said a submarine fired two torpedoes without warning. The survivors were picked up by a British ship 60 miles from Africa.
