Family Served In Three Conflicts
FINE WAR RECORD Mr. J. W. Nairn, a resident of this district, is a member of the Nairn family, of Khandallab, Wellington, who have a splendid record of Avar service extending over a period of many years. Members of this family saw service during the Boer War, the Great War and are now assisting in the present conflict. In the Boer War, Mr. J. A. Nairn, of Auckland, Avas a member of Lord Lovat's Scouts, while another member of the family, who served through the duration of the Great War, is now serving again in the Second NeAV Zealand Expeditionary Force in England. Mrs. L. G. Nairn resides in Hamilton. Mr. J. W. Nairn, of Feilding, also served in South Africa with the Ist and Bth Contingents, while his brother, Mr. L. D. Nairn, of TaAva Flat, Avas a member of the forces at Gallipoli. Mr. S. H. Nairn, another brother, A\'as killed in action in France during the Great War.
Mr. D. A. J. Nairn, only son of Mr. Nairn, of Tawa Flat, is at present serving with the Fleet Air Arm.
