12TH ANNUAL MEETING The 12th annual meeting of the Hal combe Sports’ Club was held on New Year’s Eve at the Recreation Ground-, where a large crowd had gathered for the occasion. Owing to the lack of teams entering for the Tug-o’-War, there was no competition for this event.

At the conclusion of.the sports, the Jubilee Hall, where a fiance was held, presented a gay and animated scene; those present entering whole-heartedly into the time honoured custom of ushering in the New Year. Mr. G. Burgees was M.C. and dancing was continued into the early hours of the morning.
