Close Unity of Two Ardently Patriotic Peoples
(British Official Wireless.) Beceived Wednesday, 9.20 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 31. Mr. Anthony Eden, in a message broadcast in the 8.8. C. Greek news, said: “Seldom can it have happened in history that two so ardently patriotic peoples have been so closely united. The successes which have attended the Greek campaign in Albania have been fol owed by British successes against the common enemy in Libya. I like to think that the heroic Greek resistance an i the offensive under brilliant gen•i Jship will prove to be the turning p .nt in the struggle against materialism and brute force in which both are engaged. * ‘The old year closes on victories for both our armies. From my heart J wish the courageous and heroic peoples ever-increasing success in the fateful year before us and if it pleases God a pasting peace.”
