V.A.D. Committee Meets in Palmerston North

A meeting of tho North Island V.A.D. Committee was held in the Red Cross rooms, Palmerston North, on Saturday ufternoou when the following delegates were present: Misses M. F. Barnett (Wairarapa), chairman, M. Thurston (Mastertou), secretary, D. Alouzies (Waikato), 11. I. Crooks (Wanganui), D. Bryant (Taranaki), Sister J. D. Dalgleish (Mnuawatu), Sister L. Small (Wellington), Mesdames E. Scott (Feilding), J. B. Campbell (Hawke’s Bay) t Chisholm (Marlborough), E. A. Knapp (Whangarei), Mr. Harker (Auckland), Miss E. P. Tenueut, director of Red Cross V.A.D.a aud president of the V.A. Council, addressed the meeting and matters concerning the organisation were discussed. The next meeting will be held iu Hamilton. Misses Small, Crooks, Menzies, Barnett, Mr,). Campbell aud Mr. G. T. Paterson wer-* elected as North Island members on the V.A.D. Council.
