FUNDS COLLECTED BY PAHIATUA HOSPITAL STAFF Tho vory fine effort of the Pahiatua Fublic Hospital staff is shown in the amount of £53 Is lOd collected by per- ' sonal contributions aud small competitions since May of this year. This amount which does not include the private donatious of the staff to the various appeals, has been distributed between the following:—Local Red Patriotic Fund, Soldiers’ Parcels, Carnival f und, War Expenses Fund and includes a donation of £l7 30a to tho Christmas Cheer Fund of the Otaki Children’s Health Camp. The result of the various competitions are as follows:—Handkerchiefs, Margaret Treder; silk stocking*, Mrs. Shirley j towels, Mr-*. A. J. Wills; chocolates, Miss N. Moriarty; slippers, Dr. li B. Watson; crystal va**, Mr*. A. J. Wills; Christmas cake, Mr. J. Evans.
