Fair and Mild Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 16. An anti-cyclone still covers the New Zealand area, but a weak depression is located in the south-west Tasman Sea. Winds: Light to moderate and variable, but northerlies freshening over the South Island during the day. Seas (New Zealand waters): Slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light variable winds and slight seas, but fresh nortberlies setting in over the southern portion with seas increasing. Weather: Continuing fine and mild over most of the country; rather cloudy, however, in Canterbury and unsettled conditions developing later in the extreme south-west. YESTERDAY’S WEATHER Auckland: Sunshine, light wind. New Plymouth: Sun and cloud, light wind. Gisborne: Sun and cloud, light wind. Napier: Sun and cloud, light wind. Palmerston North: Sun and cloud, light breeze. Masterton: Sun and cloud, moderate Wind. Wellington: Sunshine, light wind. Blenheim: Sunshine, light wind. Nelson: Sunshine, light wrind.
