Heart-to-Heart Appeal
GRAND COMBINED CONCERT To aid the funds of the Heart-to-Heart Appeal tho Little Theatre, British Music, Operatic and Repertory Societies are joining forces to stage a grand combined concert. This has meant that the best musical and dramatic talent in the city has been called on, and some of the outstanding items from the British Music Society are songs by Miss Lexie McDonald and Mr. R. C. Shirriffs, a piano solo by Mr. A. Radford and Mcsdames J. Fisher H. Palmer and T. K. Rickard contribute an instrumental trio. From the Little Theatre comes an intensely human and. dramatic one-act play, “The Legend,” which is being produced by Gordon The Operatic Society have the lighter side of the programme •.nd feature such well-known people as
Miss Freda Whittaker, Air. Len Wood and Miss Nan Brackcnbridge; a delightful feature will be a specially arranged dance by Miss Valerie Oram accompanied by a song by Mr. Amos McKegg. The Repertory Society are staging an unusual and arresting Nativity play,
“Tho Child in Flanders”; this embodies all the lovely and heart-gripping feeling of the Christmas story, and is being produced by Miss Babette Rodgers.
