Brigade Manoeuvres

CLIMAX TO TERRITORIAL TRAINING With the Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki and Wellington-West Coast Regiments in Palmerston North over the week-end, the city was once again alive with young men in khaki. The regiments have come to Palmerston North to top off their Territorial training with brigade manoeuvres which commence today and conclude to-morrow. The location of the operations has not been revealed to the men in order to give them as much realism as possible, nor have they been informed of the hour of departure. To-night will be spent under the stars somewhere. There is a skeleton corps of signallers atached to the brigade and wireless will be used during the operations. There will also be a background of artillery. Yesterday a combined church service was held followed oy a march past.
