MANAWATU VISIT TO 1 WANGANUI Eight fours from the Manawatu Bowling Centre visited Wanganui on Saturday to return defeated by the. home fours. The visit was a very enjoyable one, Mr. Stone, president of the Wanganui Centre, welcoming the Manawatu players. Mr. J. A. Nash, Manawatu Centre president, returned thanks and stated that it was regretted more players could not make the trip owing to petrol restrictions. Details are as follows: Manawatu: McLean, Mills, Kells, llowo (s.) 19 lost to Wanganui: Boyd, Jones, Goodey, Crawford (s.) 2-1. Manawatu: Royal, Robrtson, Taylor, Corbridgo (s.) 23 beat Wanganui: Cullotv, Brown, Englcbrctsen, Johnson (s.) 20. Palmerston North: West, Lovelock, Bayliss, Nash (s.) 23 beat Wanganui: Price, Dick, Steel, Stone (s.) 20. Terraco End: Burrell, Cherries, Burstall, Anderson (s.) 22 beat Wanganui: Healey, Clcmoes, Laird, Corby (s.) 20. Terrace End: Brown, Bright, O’Shea, Snell (s.) 16 lost to Wanganui: Otto, Benson, Fisher, Baxter (s.) 24. Palmerston North: Morris, Madge, Simmons, Crump (s.) 13 lost to Wanganui: Dann, Bambcr, Fletcher, Haworth (s.) 17.
