Flower Show

SUCCESSFUL EVENT AT PAPATAWA The annual flower show of the Papatawa Women’s Institute waa held on Saturday afternoon, when there was a large gathering at the local hall. The event was a jjreat success and all classes were well patronised and highly appreciated by tho judges and officials. A dance was held in the evening to cap a splendid day’s effort. The judges of the flowers stated that the exhibition was eqiml to anything in their experience. The flower show was conducted by the Women’s Institute and Garden Circle, and the industries by the Women’s Institute. Sweets and cakes, produce, jumble and sewing stalls were conducted during the afternoon. The officers responsible for the effort were: President of the W. 1., Mrs. L. Gleadow, and the secretary, Mrs. A. E. Dickens, and the P&patawa Garden Circle president, Mrs. W. Harding, and Mrs. F. McLean.
