Thrust Into Albania in Several Places Casualties in Air Raid on Patras United Press Assn.— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 11 p.m. LONDON, October 29. The Cairo correspondent of the British Associated Press says Greek leaders learned that the Greek Army had struck the first blow in many places on the frontier. Mountain troops pushed through several valleys into Albania, while Greek planes dropped pamphlets urging the Albanians to revoltA Belgrade message says that Italians attacking the, Greek village of Dipalica were repulsed, with 20 killed and 60 wounded. The Daily Telegraph says the Italian demands on Greece included the occupation of Corfu and Crete and the district of Epirus; also Piraeus. It is reported from Tirana that the Italians have broken the Greek line on the south-eastern tip of Albania after 30 hours of fighting. Mountain troops advanced from the Korea sector. A report from Belgrade states that 50 were killed and 300 wounded in an air raid on Patras to-day. German Divisions Reported in Albania ULTIMATUM TO TURKEY FORECAST Received Thursday, 1 a.m. ISTANBUL, October 30. Bulgarian sources report the arrival of five German divisions in Albania, ready for a lightning attack across Northern Greece at the moment the Italians pass the frontier defences. According to a Bucharest message, Rumanian ships in Turkish waters have been advised to return home immediately. In Berlin the semi-official Diplomatische Korrespondenz says: “Turkey may shortly receive an ultimatum similar to Greece’s.” The paper adds: “Wherever English bases and hide-outs still exist, they must be extirpated in the interests of European unityThis naturally applies also to the Mediterranean.”
