Death on Highway

COMMERCIAL TRAVELLER CHARGED Per Press Association. WESTPORT, Oct. SO. Alan Thomas Cormack, a commercial traveller, of Greyniouth, Avas charged in the Magistrate's Court to-day with negligently driving a car on the Wcst-port-Karamea main higlnvay so as to cause the death of Patricia Helen Murphy, aged 19, ou October 15. Accused pleaded not guilty and reserved his defence. Mr. G. G. Chisholm, S.M., committed accused to the Grcymoutli Supreme Court for trial. A Coronial inquiry was heard in conjunction with tho Court. The Coroner, Mr. G. Taylor, found that death was due to shock and injuries as a result of an accident.
