FITZHERBERT BRIDGE Midnight: 2ft. 9in. Talk on Blood Transfusion At a meeting of the St. John Ambulance Nursing Division this week held in the Ambuance hall, Oxford Street, there was a large attendance of members also friends from the Red Cross organisation to hear a talk on "Blood Transfusion" by Dr. Pullar, PatholoI gist at the Palmerston North Public Hospital. Mrs. R. McCulloch, first officer, introduced the speaker who gave a most interesting and instructive address showing the wonderful results achieved by this humane method of saving and prolonging life. Questions were asked and answered, and after some discussion volunteers were invited to come forward and enrol themselves as donors. There was a splendid response from the members of the division and Red Cross, and the lecturer was gratified that as the result of his talk all his enrolment forms were utilised. Hearty appreciation of the lecture was shown in the thanks accorded the doctor. Before entering upon the meeting sympathy was expressed with Mrs. Williams, Lady Divivsional Superintendent, who is indisposed and good wishes were extended for her speedy return to health.
