Training Notes From Flemington
GENERAL HAVELOCK BREAKS A FETLOCK United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph-Copyright. Received Tuesday, 10.20 p.m. MELBOURNE, Oot. 15. The promising three-year-old General Havelock broke a fetlock galloping at Mentone to-day and was destroyed. True Flight’s absence from the tracks to-day resulted in humours that all was not well. The trainer refuted the idea and said the horse was fit and did not need a rousing gallop. True Flight worked on the roads and then visited the beach. High Caste is very fit after to-day’s gallop and is expected to provide a great race with Ajax to-morrow. Dashing Cavalier will arrive in Melbourne on Thursday and may be accompanied by Nightbeam. Gallops at FlemiDgton took place on the inside grass, the going being fast. Aurio’s Star accounted for six furlongs in 1.16 i and is very fit. Carpentier and Darraweit covered six furlongs in 1.19 J.
