Received Friday, 9.20 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 27. Goneral de Gaulle’s headquarters said the operations at Dakar were never intended to become a naval or military action. General de Gaulle knew that tho great majority of the population had resolved to rally to him. German infiltration frustrated their object. German pressure forced the authorities to fire on de Gaulle’s forces.
