BRITISH SHIP SUNK BY RAIDER
(Rceived 20, 1.45 p.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 25.
Survivors of a British freighter who have been landed at Barranquilla, Venezuela, reported that a German raider sank their ship off Trinidad on Xjptember 3 and, after that, machinegunned the lifeboats. The survivors drifted for a fortnight before being picked up by a tanker.
