Finland Permits Passage of German Troops

GRAVE BREACH OP NEUTRALITY Received Wednesday, 9.20 p.m. HELSINKI, Sept. 25. It is officially stated that Finland has permitted the transit of German troops and supplies into North Norway. Finland’s action is similar to the Swedish-German arrangements in July. A Daventry broadcast pointed out that this was a grave breach of neutrality. It was apparently designed to give a safer route for German troops to Narvik owing to the heavy losses suffered from attacks by British submarines or transports.
