British Music Society
PROGRAMME BY PIANO AND VOCAL GROUPS The piano and vocal groups of tho British Music Society combined on Saturday evening to present a programme in the Theosophical Hall, which was decorated with broom and lupins by Mrs. N. D. Stubbs. The programme was as follows:—Pianoforte solos: “Tho Hindu Lament,” Mrs. J. C. Riddle; McDowell’s “Etude,” Miss L. Cronin; Chopin’s “Scherzo in C Sharp Minor” and “Rush Hour in Hong Kong,” Miss Francos Revere; Chopin’s “Barcarolle,” Miss M. Caircy. Songs: “Chinese Flower” and “Cradle Me Low',” Mrs. G. Gray; “Eriskay Love Lilt,” Miss W. Stockwell; “Caro Mio Ben,” Mrs. J. Curtis; “Little Flower,” Mrs. H. D. Howlev; “Beautiful Beatrice” and “Gracious and Kind Art Thou, My Queen,” Mrs. J. Cameron; “When Love Is Kind,” Miss Junker; Drigo’s “Serenade” and “When My Ship Comes Sailing Home,” Mr. C. Cronin. The accompanists were Misses E. Eyre, F. Rovero and Mrs. Howley. Mrs. N. D. Stubbs was tho hostess and was assisted by Mrs. Howloy and Miss Stockwell.
