BERLIN, Aug. 7. To-day’s German communique states: “A German warship sank 30,000 tons of enemy merchant shipping in overseas waters. “Our bombers attacked airfields near Tynemouth at tit. Athan, the Vickers Armstrong aeroplane works at Chester, and armament factories at Swansea. “A number of British planes flew over Holland and Western Germany last night and dropped bombs at various places. No substantial damage was caused.”
