Ambassador Asked To Explain Remarks
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, Aug. 7. The Under secretary of State, Mr. Sumner Welles, announced to-day that the State Department had asked the Ambassador to Belgium, Mr. John Cudahy, for the text and an explanafion of his remarks concerning Belgian starvation made in London.
