During the mouth of July, 1940, 32 cows (29); 32 oxen (IX); 61 heifers (SO); 3SS wethers (367); 57 lambs ( —); 159 pigs (59); 3 vealers (3) and SOI bobby calves (519) were dealt with at the Feilding Municipal Abattoir. Fees amounted to £ll3 5s 6d as com pared with £B3 13s 5d for the corresponding month of last year—an increase of £29 12s Id. The figures in parentheses are for the same month last year. The following is a list of the killings in the extended abattoir district for the month of July, 1940:—429 sheep, 365 lambs, 75 pigs aud 27 cattle. Fees amounted to £3l 6s 4d,
