It is officially announced that ihe Duke of Windsor has been appointed Governor and Commander-in-Chiet of the Bahama Islands, a group of islands and rocky islets In the British Wc»it Indies. The New York Press features the Duke of Windsor’s appointment. The New York Post, makes the announcement with an eightcolumn two-line banner. The item appears on all the front pages. It is reported from Nassau that the Bahamas are jubilant at the appointment. Tremendous tourist possibilities are seen. The Daily Mail says the Duke of Windsor ’a appointment followed the Duke’s personal request to his Majesty for employment.
