Pre-wedding Surprise Party Evening

MISS HILARY HORRAX HONOURED

Miss Hilary Horrax was genuinely

“ surprised ” at her home on Saturday night by the arrival of St. Peter’s Senior Girls* Club iu force, coming to bid her farewell on the occasion of her approaching marriage. A happy evening was spent with games and competitions round a roaring fire. A very difficult “yes’* competition was won by Miss P. Humphrey, and Misses E. Osborne and A. Thompson were joint winners of the

‘‘Who am I!’’ competition. After supper, the Leader, Miss E. Osborne, presented the guest of honour with a pretty cup, saucer and plate as a token of the regard in which she was held by the club members. She remarked on Miss Horrax’s long membership, from the inception of the club, and her valuable services.

Miss Horrax replied, thanking the girls for their gift, and commenting on the pleasure she had gained from her membership. Mrs. Horrax thanked the club for honouring her daughter, and iu turn thanked her for her hospitality. Before the gathering broke up, the club girls were privileged to see the charming trousseau of tho bride-to-be.
